Rachel Perry

Veterinary Surgeon

Rachel has been interested in dentistry and oral surgery for 25 years, and her practice has been limited to this field since 2010. In 2016 she became an EVDC Diplomate and EBVS ® European Veterinary Specialist in dentistry and RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry in 2017. In 2020 she obtained a post-graduate certificate in Veterinary Education and became a fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is the director of Perry Referrals and OralVet Referrals, providing small animal and zoo animal clinical referral services, continuing education and consultancy services.
She has lectured nationally and internationally and published original research and review articles in journals, textbooks and on-line platforms. She is on the editorial board of the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery and is a community reviewer for: The dentistry and oromaxillofacial surgery section of Frontiers in Veterinary Science, plus other journals. She is passionate about improving the standards of veterinary dentistry through the education of veterinary students, vets and nurses. Rachel is currently the President of the European Veterinary Dental College. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, cycling and running.
